Pinot Noir d’Alsace Rouge

Tasting it

Bud

It has a dark and deep red colour with garnet glints.

Nose

The nose has delicious aromas of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrent, cherry) with sometimes notes of leather or vanilla.

Palate

The palate is supple and balanced, reproducing the fruitiness of wild berries. Silky tannins structure the wine providing harmony and length.

In all of the Alsace wines, a deep-rooted and vibrant music from an outstanding soloist can be distinguished.

Pinot Noir d’Alsace Rouge

Pairing it

Pinot Noir Rouge is fleshy and full-bodied, offering a beautiful dark colour and its firm tannins for red meats and game.

To try with bison or ostrich steaks, a fillet of deer accompanied with cranberry sauce, or fillet of duck breast with Morello cherries.

Portrait

I am the youngest of my brothers but I’m also the most hardy. My feet are firmly anchored in the terroir, I’m as solid as an oak tree and have the quiet force of great wines.

I know how to take my time and patiently ripen to give the best of myself. If my appearance is complex and my body impenetrable, I nevertheless have a velvet touch.
