Introduction

Background

The wine Guild of Bienheureux of Frankstein (the Blessed) was founded in 1990, initiated by the wine-making union committee and people from the profession to nationally and internationally promote the wines of Dambach-la-Ville, and in particular the Grand Cru Frankstein.
The Guild is structured as a Council of the Grands Bienheureux du Frankstein with the Venerable Bienheureux in charge.

They wear a burgundy-coloured jacket, a cooper’s apron (Kiefferschurz) and a black beret, all inspired by the eminent cooper tradition in Dambach-la-Ville.
