Background

The Guild was created by the mayor, Alphonse Jenny, in 1984.

The Charter – The motto

The Confrérie refers to the wine-making and gourmet quality Charter of Kintzheim near Sélestat dating back to September 27, 1459, filed away at the Sélestat Humanist Library.

With St-Urban, the patron saint,
The Kintzheim wines are among the best!

The members

They are professional wine-makers or wine-profession related individuals . The guild is also open to other members who appreciate Alsace wines.

The wine-makers are proud of their historical Charter and faithful to its requirements.
