      Sigolsheim

Spread over around 1.3km and covering 61.85ha, with full south exposure on the hillside, Mambourg overlooks Sigolsheim. It’s one of the most early-ripening areas on the Alsace plain. It benefits from long and optimum sunny periods. The calcium-magnesium soil develops over the Tertiary limestone and marl conglomerates of the hills. There are low yields but quality is privileged.

This land is mainly for Gewurztraminer but there is also Pinot Gris, Muscat and Riesling.

As of 783, history reveals that Sigoltesberg wines (currently Mambourg) were already famous. Numerous convents and lords were owners here and gave them their titles of nobility.

Mambourg wine is very full of character, harmony and can be kept a long time. Elegant and very fine, its powerful aromas gives an extraordinary finish.
