Introduction

Background

From 1927 to today, the Ammerschwihr Wine Festival presents wines from traditional grape varieties and the Kaefferkopf terroir to wine-tasters. Since 1983, the Confrérie des Amis d'Ammerschwihr et du Kaefferkopf approve this local, faithful and consistent usage with a specific tasting of Kaefferkopf wines and rewards the best ones with an official European stamp of nobility.

The Charter – The motto

The Sermon of Kaefferkopf :

Along the beautiful Kaefferkopf hillsides,
With the noble wines which are produced,
I vow to defend, love and make loved
until the end of my days,
this prestigious nectar,
beverage of peace
and love.

  • Black four-cornered hat with red trim around the edges
